Breathe Away Your Worries

Just take a deep breath in and slowly release it – Let it all go.

Take another deep breath in then slowly release it.  Imagine that with the release of the breath… you are also releasing tension and worry.

Now bring your attention to your breath and just for a moment close your eyes. Notice the breath entering your lungs, and expanding them. Take a few moments to observe your breathing.

This process helps still the mind and calm the racing heart. Let go. Stop pushing against the world. Stop forcing everything. Just take a moment, away from deadlines and your to do list, to breathe purposefully.

I was once told by an optometrist that people are not blinking enough while reading at their computer monitors – which can cause their eyes to become dry or strained. We may also find that we don’t breathe deeply enough throughout the day.

Purposeful breathing can also serve as a relaxation tool that helps calm the mind so you can refocus on creating the life you dream about.
