Just Give Me a Sign

Looking for Universal Signs of Guidance

Do you some times feel like you are just not getting the feedback you want?

I mean – “Hey Universe — I’m doing or trying this stuff – am I on track? How about a sign?”

I was thinking about this the other day, when I decided to ask the Big “U” for a sign.

Nothing major, mind you. I thought I’d try something simple. So I said, “If you are listening to me, if I really am guided, then I’d like a sign. How about a white feather?”

And then I thought – yea that’s it – a white feather. And as I have a tendency to do – I forgot about my request.

The next day, I was walking my dog Max. It was a beautiful day, and there along the side of the road was a feather.  It was really dark gray – till I got closer and realized it was a very dirty, dingy, car driven over, white feather.  I remembered my request and laughed out loud.  I guess I needed to be more specific.

“Ok, Big “U”, I asked for a white feather – how about a brighter white feather?”

The next day, while golfing with my husband, I saw something on the ground. I walked over to it and again laughed out loud as I picked up the white feather. It was creased and had plumes missing and looked like it had been through the mill.  It  was nasty looking (sigh), but it was a brighter white feather.

I bent over and picked up the feather and put it in the cup holder of the golf cart.  When we went home later, I stuck the feather in an outdoor plant.

Well, I guess I got my feather.  It would have been nice to get a nice clean healthy looking fluffy white feather, I mumbled under my breath. But hey, thanks Big U.

The following weekend we were playing golf and as I approached the tee – lying right there on the ground near where I was about to play from, was a nice, white, fluffy, clean, beautiful white feather!

I jumped up and down in delight.  I was so very happy!  The Universe heard, the Guides came through, the Angels helped — whoever or whatever supplied the feather did not matter.

That silly feather showed me that someone out there was listening, and they had quite a sense of humor.

But more importantly it showed me that we do get what we ask for. It took three times, before I was able to realize what I desired in a feather and to get my request right. By getting more specific in my request, I received the feather I had imagined and intended to receive.
