Tapping into the Stream of Consciousness
I awoke this morning thinking about Albert Payson Terhune.
I often imagine tapping into the Creative Intuitive Stream as I write — that stream he had tapped so well. I’d imagine what it must have been like to live and write at Sunnybank… a beautiful home with a large veranda, a gazebo overlooking Pompton Lake – collies running in the yard. Just lovely –and a writer’s dream home.
But in addition to this ideal setting – what was it about Terhune that helped him create so many wonderful books? Whether consciously or not – he was tapping into a Stream of creative consciousness.

Face Your Fear and Let It Go
A new neighbor moved in last month. He has a very big dog – looks more like a wolf than the shepherd he says he is.
He’s a very intimidating dog, and when my dog and I walk by the yard, his dog sneaks across the lawn then lunges at us. As his chain catches on his collar – my heart catches in my throat.

The Law of Attraction seems to be an over-used term.
But it is affecting us and it is working with us all the time – whether we believe or or not; whether we are aware of it or not.
In it’s simplicity – we are told to “get happy” – to feel good in order to vibrate with our higher good and circumstances.
Esther Hicks has in the past used the analogy of going with the stream – dropping the oars of resistance and going with the flow.
I like that analogy – but I also like her teaching of the Vortex.

Guilt is such a cruel weapon.
I had someone knock on my door and ask me to do something. I hemmed and hawed… I really did not have the time to do it. She persisted, pushing the right buttons and I relented, “Okay.”
The day of the task, I awoke with a heavy foreboding. I did not want to meet with her that afternoon. I had already made plans for my day, and I felt like I had undervalued my own time by allowing her to manipulate me. I’m learning, but I still have a hard time saying “No.”
I wrote about the conflict in my morning journal. I just let the words fly about how I felt her pressuring me, how I felt like such a wimp for not saying no, how my energy now felt off. I was not feeling happy or good about my day.

Where Does Creativity Come From?
Many attentive scribes are tapping into the information realm of the 5th dimension whether or not they are conscious of it. The ‘Information Highway’ has helped usher in the ‘Information Age’ and is overflowing with a plethora of blogs, websites and ezines full of posts, articles, and opinions… allowing just about anyone to create, express and communicate.

If God is all there is – everything – then isn’t God (the I Am, Creative Source, Consciousness, Vital Energy) also money?
If God is the ocean – is God not also the $50.00 note?
Money has gotten a bad rap. Money is just a piece of paper. Money is just electronic 1s and 0s in your online account.
Money is energy. The same energy as a rock or a feather or the wind.

Beware -don’t kill your muse
A few years ago I had tapped into a Muse whose character I loved writing. He was very funny and I enjoyed letting him have the page. He told the most amazing stories.
I really enjoyed writing with him. I imagined him sitting in a chair, and puffing a pipe as he spun his yarns. He had a wealth of stories and the writing flowed easily, like simply recording the stories told by a dear friend.
But one day, I got distracted by an email in my inbox. It held the promise of quick riches if I simply followed their lead. I was intrigued.
Ray Bradbury’s Illustrated Man lit a creative spark within me.
It’s been many years now, but I can still remember the moment… standing in the library of my high school and seeing the book’s cover “The Illustrated Man” by Ray Bradbury.

The cover intrigued me. But the writing fascinated me as the book’s narrator meets the Illustrated Man– his entire body a living canvas of exotic and magical tattoos.
I was intrigued. I picked the book for my Creative Writing class assignment and fell in love with the idea that one could write something so magical – so mystical. I was fascinated by not just the book, but by the author. I thought “what a lucky man” to be able to be so creative and published.
She showed me a large wall map and said, “Where do you want to go?”
