Why Did We Choose This?
My husband and I had taken a leisurely drive up the coast. We parked along the side of a rustic patch of beach then walked up to the dune.
We sat on a weather-worn wooden bench and enjoyed the view for about an hour – silent in our thoughts.
It felt good to sit still and look out at the waves as in an open eyed meditation.
Earlier that day I had been writing in my journal and I was now pondering upon some of the ideas which came to me that morning.
Driving back towards home, my husband looked at me and said, “Why do you think we are here?”
The world is so much more than we see with human eyes or comprehend with Earthly minds.
But. we need not struggle to try to understand it all.
Just remember this, in the silence, deep within us are the answers we seek; the instincts that issue warnings, and the premonitions and insights that seem to just come to us from out of the blue.
The more we trust this deeper wisdom, the stronger it will be. And by learning to trust it and live from it – we can create a peaceful, safe and abundant life experience.
How? By learning to literally trust our gut.

An Intuitive Writing Daydream

Exiting the tree lined canopy I walked onto the sand, and witnessed an awesome sight: blue sky, fluffy white clouds, and sunlight dancing like diamonds on the bright waves and blue water.
I quickly scanned the beach and selected a vacant spot over by the bank of sea grape bushes to my left. I placed my beach bag on the sand, then opened my beach chair and sat a moment taking in my surroundings.
I noticed children squealing with delight as they ran back and forth from the water’s edge pouring water from their sand buckets into the moat surrounding their sand fort.
I watched as the sandpipers skillfully darted in and out of the surf between each wave, while seagulls noisily begged for food from picnickers. I shaded my eyes from the sun as I looked up to see a pod of pelicans flying overhead on a current I could not see.
I closed my eyes and listened to the beach. The sounds created a peaceful feeling within me, which helped me realize how stressed and tense I have been. Stressed during the day, and not sleeping well at night.
I used to meditate each morning – however, lately my life has been too busy to take the time for meditation. But sitting here with my eyes closed, I tuned in to the sound of the waves and felt the stress fall away. My breathing became in sync with the sound of the surf.

It just happened. I can still remember the moment like it was yesterday, though it was many many years ago.
I was sitting at my typewriter when almost at once the words started to flow - streaming along the page. Read more on Tapping Intuition through Writing…

Powerful Forgive and Release Techniques
Forgiving seems almost unnatural. Our sense of fairness
tells us people should pay for the wrong they do.
But forgiving is love’s power to break nature’s rule. ~Lewis B. Smedes
There may be a person or circumstance in your life that you simply cannot forgive.
Lack of forgiveness can make us rigid in our thinking and can harden in our gut and clog our life (lack, disease, reckless behavior, error thinking, and unwise decisions).
Feelings of unforgiveness may catch in our throat – blocking creativity and communication. This feeling of not being able to communicate fully may result in anger, and keep us from experiencing a peaceful, prosperous, joyful life.
Please understand, that to forgive someone does not mean that you have to invite them back into your life… but you do need to forgive and release in order to heal.
These powerful writing techniques have brought about forgiveness…. perhaps its time to give it a try.
Julia Cameron is one of my absolute favorite writing / spiritual teachers.
In the Artist’s Way Cameron instructs how to break free of mind-babble with a ritual – tool she calls the Morning Pages.
Simply start your day writing three 8 1/2″ x 11″ pages of whatever is on your mind. This can be a release of your inner critique “What are you wasting your time doing this for?”, or a dialogue about upcoming events “I have to go to the bank today” or your inner thoughts “last night I had the strangest dream about…” or “I don’t feel like writing this today”.
