You Should? According to Whom?
“I should …”
“I should be a…”
“I should just …”
You should – according to whom?
Who is telling you what you should do, be or have?
As a child, you may heard a lot of shoulds and some of them you wisely heeded for your own safety:
“You should never put your hand on a hot stove.”
“You should never dive into the shallow end of a pool.”
“You should never cross the street without looking both ways.”
However, once we become adults – who knows better what you should be or do than you?
