Why Are We Here?
Why Did We Choose This?
My husband and I had taken a leisurely drive up the coast. We parked along the side of a rustic patch of beach then walked up to the dune.
We sat on a weather-worn wooden bench and enjoyed the view for about an hour – silent in our thoughts.
It felt good to sit still and look out at the waves as in an open eyed meditation.
Earlier that day I had been writing in my journal and I was now pondering upon some of the ideas which came to me that morning.
Driving back towards home, my husband looked at me and said, “Why do you think we are here?”
I was struck by the synchronicity of his asking me about the very thing that I had written about earlier this morning and had been thinking about at the beach.
“I think that we are here to learn how to connect with our Spiritual selves while in the mortal body,” I said, “I think we are here to learn to grow as human/Spiritual Beings.
“I think we are here to follow the examples of how to live as set forth by the Master teacher.
“I think we are here to learn to live on the Earth while strongly connected to our intuitive guidance.
“I think we are here to learn to be like a hollow reed to allow more of the Spiritual energy through us so that life can be better than we can imagine.
“I think we are here so that we can grow in Love. I think Love is the greatest emotion and energy and that when we learn to love one another, as we claim to love God, that everyone will benefit.
“I think we are here as part of our soul group. We take turns coming to the Earth to master our connectivity to our Spiritual selves. As we grow and evolve, so does our group. Last time around was Fred’s turn and now it’s mine,” I said with a laugh.
My husband looked at me as though thinking over my response, then said, “That all sounds good, but what I meant was, why do you think we are in Florida?”
I laughed at what had been a lengthy reply to his initial question and then said, “Well, that’s a whole other issue to ponder.”
As he drove home, I thought about how when I am trying to figure out life’s bigger questions, or to gain insights and guidance, Intuitive writing has been a useful tool for getting the answers.
